Alexander Heffner (President) is editor-in-chief of ScoopDaily. Prior to creating ScoopDaily, he founded and edited Scoop08 and Scoop44 during the 2008 presidential election and President Obama’s inaugural year in office. Co-author of A Documentary History of the United States, Heffner is political director for WHRB 95.3 FM, Harvard’s radio station. In 2007, Heffner served as an online writer for Columbia Journalism Review. He has been interviewed about President Obama, generational issues, and American youth by CNN, MSNBC, C-SPAN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, and Reuters, among other outlets.

Maxwell Meyer (Vice President, Communications) is a sophomore concentrating in Economics and East Asian Studies at Harvard. Meyer has studied extensively the implications of new media’s rise on American politics and democracy. He currently serves as an Institute of Politics Research Assistant to former presidential adviser and CNN Senior Political Analyst David Gergen. In addition, he is an accomplished jazz pianist with three original studio albums and in 2005 won national television’s “America’s Most Talented Kid.”

Henry Frankievich (Vice President, Web Operations) is a sophomore Economics major at the University of Chicago and a graduate of Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass. In 2007, he served as General Manager of WPAA, Phillips Academy’s radio station, and presided over unprecedented growth in online listenership. Frankievich also served as Business Manager of The Phillipian. Frankievich has consulted for the New York Times regarding online strategy with emphasis on youth outreach, as well as attended conferences on new media and journalism in transition.

Prateek Kumar (Vice President, Business) is a junior at Harvard University, where he is majoring in economics and minoring in government. Prateek is President of Operations for the Harvard Financial Analysts Club, Harvard’s largest undergraduate investment organization. He is also co-founder and Director of Policy for Concerned Youth of America, a national nonprofit organization devoted to teaching Americans about the dangers of the burgeoning federal debt. As an Eagle Scout, Kumar has been an active volunteer, and was recognized by the United States Congress for his hours of service.
