Good news! Tiger Woods’ philandering seems mostly a consequence of the Internet Age when people can publish lewd text messages for 15 minutes of fame- but for once there’s a rich black man in scandal and the race card hasn’t even been mentioned.

But leave it to FOX News to take weirdness to the next level.
On “FOX News Sunday,” Brit Hume called for Woods to renounce Buddhism and turn to Jesus if he wants to find forgiveness and escape this scandal.

“The extent to which he can recover seems to me depends on his faith,” Hume said. “He is said to be a Buddhist. I don’t think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith.”

This might be a first time offensive backward comments at FOX made me feel better. Media all over the world have beaten Woods with a golf club these past weeks, and Japanese news even animated a cartoon of his wife attacking him. But I just realized Brit Hume is the first person to bring Woods’ ethnicity into it. Tiger isn’t O.J. Simpson, but I’m happy to take this as a sign of change!
