For once I was glad that CNN put too much stock in celebrity opinion.
Rick Sanchez has Carlos Mencia on his show more than I care to remember, and cable TV has an unhealthy habit of getting other celebrity opinion. Anchors even tried to to get Ja Rule’s opinion of terrorism on Sept. 12 , 2001.
But maybe Lindsay Lohan has an exit strategy for Iraq, I don’t know.
But Wolf Blitzer’s choice of Craig Ferguson as a guest Tuesday wasn’t so bad. The host of “The Late, Late Show.” I guess it was timely because President Obama went on “The David Letterman Show,” but Wolf Blitzer also interviews him about what Obama should on off-chance he runs into Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad at the U.N. General Assembly. And he’s funny, but why waste question time asking him about national health care
I really liked how the Scot used baseball as a metaphor in his book for trying again, since he said in his book “American On Purpose,” that recovering from failure is what makes America great. Great lesson for this catastrophic mess our generation has to clean up with national debt, war, unemployment, climate change, etc.
“We teach our children early- you swing and miss, you try again. My son and I are Americans- we prepare for glory by failing until we don’t,” wrote Ferguson in his book. “Failure is not disgrace. I don’t think it does well to walk around life thinking you’re a great success, it can get you into trouble.”
