Sen. Max Baucus, the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, told reporters that further funds will have to be found in order to pay for healthcare reform.  $320 billion dollars will have to be raised, likely through taxes, over a ten year period.

The remaining costs will be payed for, over ten years, by savings in other government healthcare programs, such as Medicare and Medicaid.

The announcement underscoresthe struggle, being fought on Capital Hill, to pay for healthcare reform.
