FOX News and Republican Refugees

Some say Sarah Palin’s resignation from her post as governor of Alaska might be a move to help her free time to run for president. All I’m sure of is that when Republican politicians resign from office these days, they often spend that new free time on FOX News.
The prime example is Karl Rove- he resigned from the White House and went straight to FOX News as a regular commentator.
Other disgraced figures with links to Republican politics, like Oliver North of Iran-Contra infamy, have found a home on FOX News.
It can go the other way around too, as we saw with the late, great Tony Snow switching from FOX News anchor to press secretary for the Bush White House.
But the formula isn’t just for disgraced politicians. Former Speaker of teh House of Representatives Newt Gingrich is frequently a guest to provide his input.
Maybe Palin will become a regular guest of Mike Huckabee, another Republican veteran of the 2008 election.
Palin used to be a beauty queen after all, so she has the hair and makeup part of the job down.

The ability to squawk on TV may be the last available soapbox for the GOP, for a very long time. Astoundingly, the only channel that will house these refugees is FOX…. one of many channels. The margin of error for the GOP is VERY slim. Good luck, to them…. they'll need it.
