European Union to Debate Withdrawl of All Member State's Envoys in Iran

The European Union is scheduled to convene tomorrow to discuss a British proposal to withdraw the envoys from all 27 member states out of Iran. The proposal comes largely in response to the recent arrest of British embassy staff, one of whom is still rumored to be detained. England’s Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, has taken a very cautious approach to dealing with the current Iranian conflict. Voices of America reports,

In London, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown reiterated “deep disappointment” at Iran’s recent behavior, including the arrests of British embassy staff. He called the action “unjustified” and said it is not acceptable that some in Iran are trying to use Britain “as an explanation for the legitimate Iranian voices calling for democracy.”
