Obama's Address: Energy Trumps Health Care, for Today

The President re-recorded his weekly radio and internet address, originally about health care, to explain his support for the recently passed energy bill. While both issues affect all Americans, Obama was right to celebrate the bill, which barely made it through the House. Its controversial nature made the address all the more relevant.

We have been talking about energy for decades, but there is no longer a disagreement over whether our dependence on foreign oil is endangering our security. It is,” said Obama.

While an energy bill is important it certainly doesn't have the long term financial catastrophe that health care has by not getting a health care reform bill passed. We are in serious trouble both short and long term by putting health care off.
