Dubai’s Workout

The laid-off expats of Dubai (as I spoke of in my latest article on Dubai) are turning to a new, and inexpensive, way burn off a little stress. One young expat took it upon himself to form the “Bad Times Boot Camp” that meets three times a week on the beach to work out, chat, and support each other. Although the group only has about 30 faithful members at the moment, it is growing fast.

I find it inspiring that a young man who has lived and worked in Dubai for 4 years as a business consultant created this work-out/support group instead of staying in bed and bemoaning his losses. This is the kind of get-up-and-go chutzpah that is so needed in bad times around the world. Good work!
