After digging through nearly a thousand pages of comments made on CNN Live/Facebook’s chat during President Obama’s State of the Nation Address to Congress last Tuesday, February 24, I have edited the conversation into what I believe is an accurate summary of its major themes and tones.
I have included as many opinions as I found, yet there are parts of the following dialogue when the same sentiment is repeated multiple times. For the sake of brevity, the repetition I included represents only a fragment of its occurrences during various segments of the actual live chat. I only wished to attempt to display the consensus reached by many viewers at different points of the event. Enjoy!
